Since January 2019, the county Medical Examiner has documented 9 deaths in Santa Clara County from fentanyl overdose, including recent deaths of a 15- and 16-year-old. Recently, the District Attorney and multiple law enforcement agencies have seized a large number of fake pills advertised as 30 mg oxycodone (prescription name percocet) pills from locations across the county.
